The first Toshiba Beta VCRS came
along in 1978, and were clones of Sony Betamax VCRS. The first Toshiba Beta
VCR was the V5210 a clone of Sony's SL-8200 Betamax. Was an X-1 - X-2 Unit.
Toshiba did make there own line of Beta VCRS. Like Sanyo,
Toshiba
discontinued their line of Beta VCRS in 1986.
